An Atlanta-based law firm specializing in construction and government contracts is opening an office in Nashville.
Smith, Currie & Hancock announced Friday the opening of an office in the downtown One Nashville skyscraper.
Jeanne Harrison, a Smith Currie associate, moved from Atlanta to Nashville to oversee the new office. Associate attorney Alex Hoppestad is also moving to Nashville. Both are from the Tennesseans.
Lochlin Samples, partner of Atlanta and Nashville-based Smith Currie, will serve as the resident partner for the Nashville office, according to a statement, and the firm lists five additional attorneys licensed in Tennessee.
Besides Nashville and Atlanta, Smith Currie has offices in eight other cities, including Miami, San Francisco and Charlotte. The company cited development in Nashville as a key driver of openness in the city.
“As a national law firm in the construction industry, the partners and management team of Smith Currie believe that Nashville is ideally situated for continued and unprecedented growth in the development and expansion of our firm in the city,” Harrison said in the statement.
