BMCC launches B.Com Honors course
The Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) of the Deccan Education Society will commence a four-year Honors B.Com course from the following academic year. The four-year course will be run with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI).
BMCC Director Dr. Seema Purohit said, “The B.Com Honors program will be useful for professional courses such as CA, CS and CMA and international courses such as CFA and CPA. The course will be 160 credit points and will be skill-based which will be beneficial for the students. Management, Finance, Costs and Management, Accounting, Direct and Indirect Taxes, Law, Economics, Entrepreneurship and Commerce will be part of the course.
Students wishing to enroll in the course need a minimum of 60% in their class 12 exam. Degrees will be issued by Savitribai Phule Pune University.
ICAI Central Board Member Chandrashekhar Chitale said BMCC and ICAI signed a memorandum of understanding to organize the course. The ICAI will define the curriculum of the course in addition to the training of the teaching staff and the orientation of the students for the development of skills.
March 2022 Cambridge International exam results are out
Cambridge International, provider of international education for 5 to 19 year olds in India and around the world, announced the results of its March 2022 round of exams on Thursday. With 59,450 entries submitted by more than 350 schools across the country , the March 2022 Exam Series shows Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level exam enrollment increased by 10% in March 2021.
Individually, Cambridge IGCSE saw 12% growth with over 45,000 entries for the year 2021-22 compared to 40,895 entries last year, and Cambridge International AS&A Level saw 4% growth with 13,833 admissions for the year 2021-22 compared to 13,246 admissions last year. Maths, physics, chemistry, English as a first language and biology were the most popular Cambridge IGCSE subjects in this year’s March round of exams.
