Buckeyes in first place after 36 holes from Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The Ohio State women’s golf team is in first place after completing the first 36 holes of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational on Monday. The Buckeyes combined for a team score of 566 (-10) and have a six-stroke lead over the second-place team.
Peter had a stellar day for the Buckeyes, shooting a 71 (-1) in the first round and a career-tying 70 (-2) in the second round. She ended the day with a total score of 141 (-3).
Aneka Seumanutafa and Caley McGinty each had an aggregate score of 142 (-2) and are tied for eighth place. Seumanutafa shot even par (72) in the first round and shot a 70 (-2) in the second round to move up 10 spots in the standings. McGinty shot 70 (-2) in the first round and 72 (E) in the second round in his first appearance for the Buckeyes.
In his OSU debut, Kary Hollenbaugh shot a 73(+1) in the first round and jumped 14 spots in the standings after shooting 71(-1) in the second round. She finished the same day (144).
Jillian Bourdage completed the Buckeye quintet, finishing the first 36 holes tied for 19e square. She shot a career-best 70 (-2) in the first round and a 75 (+3) in the second round for a total score of 145 (+1).
The Buckeyes will play the third and final round of the tournament on Tuesday, September 13.
