Oh, and golfers will love what’s on offer at 9A McMahon Ave as the place is perched on the Anglesea golf course.

Seller Tyler Mathes said the home has epic golf course views and the family receives regular visits from resident kangaroos in the morning and at dusk.

“We had all kinds of visitors, from native birdlife to the odd echidna,” Mr Mathes said.

The earthy three-bedroom home features floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, lush nature views, warm wood features, and elegant slate flooring with under-slab heating.

Mr. Mathes bought the property three and a half years ago and the family put their own urban stamp on the place.

Among the modern updates, the kitchen/living/dining room in the back part of the house has been completely redone to open it up, and the master bedroom has been taken to new heights with a revamped bathroom.

“We designed it to feel like it’s integrated with the surrounding flora and fauna, with an earthy, industrial-style interior,” Mathes said.

“We used locally made messmate wood vanities and shaving cabinets from Bombora Custom Furniture, and also used them for the kitchen shelving.”

A signature Cheminee Philippe fireplace has added serious comfort to the main living area and heats almost the entire house.

The black-toned kitchen includes a Bosch induction hob, under-counter oven and integrated dishwasher.

It connects to the wraparound deck where you can take in the landscaping, views, and climb the treetop cube to see the golf course from another vantage point.

“My stepdad is a builder and made this for our kids for Christmas, it’s designed to match the house and blend in with nature instead of taking over it, the kids love going up there” , Mr. Mathes said.

A second living area is located next to the kitchen, while the bedrooms, main bathroom and laundry room are in the front part of the residence.

The double garage has rear access to the outdoor terrace and the shower,

Mr. Mathes said the home’s natural light and peaceful, private location immersed in nature were hard to beat.

“The yard and the deck face north, and in the morning the sun spills over there,” he said.

“It’s super private, completely shielded from the street, you can’t see anyone else’s house, and there’s no traffic noise or neighbor noise.”

Hayden, Anglesea agent Darcy Bennett has the list with price expectations of

$2.295 million to $2.495 million.

Other features include ducted vacuum system, double glazing, 5000 liter water tank with pump and solar panels.
