Stay safe this hunting season; Enroll in a Hunter Security Course | Sports

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is encouraging the public to try hunting this year. To get started, enroll in a safety course, as it’s never too early for new hunters to take a hunter education course or for experienced hunters to take it up as a refresher.

More than 20,000 people attend hunter education courses in Wisconsin each year. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1973 must take a hunter education course and have a hunter education certificate on file to purchase a hunting license in Wisconsin, unless hunting under the Wildlife Act. framed hunt. Anyone 17 and under must take an in-person class.
