By Joseph Hanna and Jason Kaner (July 6, 2022, 4:56 p.m. EDT) – PGA Tour golfers participating in Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series events are suspended and no longer eligible to participate in PGA events Tour, the recently announced PGA Tour. The widely circulated memo followed a PGA Tour warning to members that they were not permitted to participate in LIV golf events and would be subject to disciplinary action.
LIV Golf responded to the suspensions by saying the ad was “vindictive” and accused the PGA Tour of “stopping golfers from playing.”
In a comment announcing a possible antitrust lawsuit, LIV Golf noted that “[t]this is certainly not the last word…
